Fertility Lens is an iPhone app for women trying to conceive, pregnant, or planning ahead. Scan a barcode or an ingredient label and it tells you, instantly, which ingredients in that product have been linked in published research to endocrine disruption or reproductive-health concerns — with the citations to back it up.

What it does

Barcode scanning — point at any consumer product. We look it up in three public ingredient databases (Open Food Facts, Open Beauty Facts, Open Products Facts) and surface every flagged ingredient with a concern level and a one-line summary of why.
Label scanning — for products not in any database, scan the ingredient list directly with the camera. Apple’s on-device Vision OCR reads the label; nothing leaves your phone.
A curated 100+ ingredient database — phthalates, parabens, bisphenols, PFAS, heavy metals, pregnancy-specific concerns (retinyl palmitate, hydroquinone, salicylic acid), and dozens more. Each entry cites primary regulatory or peer-reviewed sources (Endocrine Society, NIEHS, EU REACH/SCCS, IARC, FDA, EPA).
Tailored to where you are — tell the app whether you’re trying to conceive, pregnant, or planning ahead; Fertility Lens+ subscribers get results re-ranked so the most-relevant flags surface first.

What we believe

Fertility-related anxiety is real, and the internet is full of fear-driven content that doesn’t cite anything. Fertility Lens shows you the actual evidence and lets you decide. We do not sell your attention to brands. We do not run affiliate links. We do not collect your data. Our only revenue is the optional subscription — described below.

Privacy

We can’t lose your data because we don’t have it. Everything — scan history, your life-stage selection, your subscription status — is stored on your phone, never transmitted to us, never sold, never shared. The only network calls the app makes are anonymous barcode lookups against the public Open Food / Beauty / Products Facts APIs, and the In-App Purchase flow handled by Apple.
